Steel Welded Frame vs. Concrete Center Block

Many asks us if there is any difference between center bock bbq islands vs. steeled welded frame? My answer is No. The only difference that the center block bbq islands cost more. Concrete Block construction: Extremely strong unit.Almost always a Permit required. Permanent foundation. Since the blocks are thick, you get less storage space inside your unit. It Cost a lot money to hire someone to build you a unit and on top of that you have to buy your own equipment. Steel Welded Frame Construction:Extremely strong unit. No permit required (considered a portable unit).Usually it's built off site, which means NO construction mess at your home. If you decide to move, you can take it with you. You do not have to re-buy another outdoor kitchen. You get more storage space inside the BBQ Island (for the same size design). You save a tremendous amount of money when you have someone package the BBQ equipment and BBQ island for you. Important note: Please don't confuse the galvanize studs that are SCEWED NOT WELDED. We have seen BBQ Islands made up by glazanize 25 guage studds were stress cracks are visible because our the flex of the weak studds. Most BBQ island companies are using the galvanized 25 gauge studs. This is extremely weak. Can you imagine if you were pouring a concrete counter top or paying a lot of money for granite slab. Diablo Grills uses 16 gauge square tubing. If you can dream it, we can build it. Pre-fab., custom BBQ islands or even a Steel welded BBQ Island kit. Check us out.
